The Rogue Umpqua
Distance: a gorgeous 172-mile, partial loop.
Best Time: June-October for best weather, wildflowers and waterfalls. In winter, expect snowfall at higher elevations.
Minimum Driving Time: 5-7 hours.
Rest Areas: Several parks and campgrounds are located along the route.
Gas: Stations are few and far between. Make sue you have plenty before starting your trip.
The McKenzie Pass- Santiam Pass
Distance: 82-mile, loop.
Best Time: June-October for best weather, wildflowers and waterfalls. McKenzie Pass is closed in the winter months.
Minimum Driving Time: 3-5 hours.
Rest Areas: Several parks and campgrounds are located along the route.
Gas: Only available at McKenzie Bridge and Sisters. Make sure you have plenty before you leave.
